Our Volunteers

The Heartbeat of the Hospital

The Peace Arch Hospital is a world-class facility offering emergency, surgery, and maternity care services. As part of the Fraser Health Network, it is publicly funded.

Funds will only take you so far. The City of White Rock has always been a close-knit community, and we don’t want our hospital to lose that community touch as it grows, expands, and offers ever better services.

This is where our volunteers come in. You won’t find any other hospital community in the world that is as dedicated to providing patient comforts, raising funds, and having fun as we are.

If you’re looking for a way to give back to your community, joining the Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary will have you getting involved in the community, and participating in events with purpose. It’s fulfilling to volunteer with The Aux. Promise!

Volunteer Groups

The Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary was started by housewives wanting to contribute to the hospital. They gathered in each others’ homes and since very few housewives at the time had a car at their disposal, small regional groups were formed.

The group names reflected the geographic area of the group. Although we are one organization, we still have smaller groups within the organization contributing to the Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary.

Each group under the umbrella is performing acts of kindness in any way they can. These groups specialize in a few specific areas but also participate in many other programs.
